Accenture rolls out services for Siebel's UAN

San Francisco-based consultancy Accenture has created a set of services designed to deliver cross-application integrationthrough Siebel Systems Inc.'s Universal Application Network (UAN). UAN is San Mateo, Calif.-based Siebel's framework for reducing cost and complexity related to enterprise integration. Among the services Accenture introduced is an analytic tool to ease customer adoption of UAN, dubbed Enterprise Integration Diagnostic.



J.D. Edwards certifies FieldCentrix mobile SFA

Enterprise software maker J.D. Edwards & Co. in Denver, and Irvine, Calif.-based field service automation applications vendor FieldCentrix Inc. established a certified interface between FieldCentrix' Enterprise field service software and J.D. Edwards' CRM software. According to the two companies, the integration tool was built using eXtended Process Integration (XPI), J.D. Edwards' technology that aims to allow disparate applications to share information in real-time, and provides for external collaboration.

Aspect unveils IP Contact Suite-Enterprise

San Jose, Calif.-based Aspect Communications Corp. introduced its IP Contact Suite-Enterprise, a contact management package for integrating enterprise applications through PSTN and IP telephony products. By supporting PSTN and IP telephony systems and providing Web services, Aspect said the IP package lets companies choose telephony platforms and integrate with enterprise applications.

Information Builders and Bang Networks announce strategic alliance

Business intelligence applications vendor Information Builders in New York, and Bang Networks, a San Francisco provider of information messaging systems, announced a strategic alliance targeting financial institutions. Under the agreement, Bang Networks will combine its Axon messaging platform and Information Builders' WebFOCUS business intelligence tool to deliver a reporting offering tailored specifically for financial services firms.

Answerthink expands SAP reach with Condor acquisition

Miami-headquartered Answerthink purchased the SAP software reseller business of Condor Technology Solutions Inc. Answerthink officials said the purchase would strengthen and expand their existing SAP business with small and midsize companies in several Northeast markets and selected verticals. The company also said the acquisition will allow it to expand its general software maintenance and help desk support services for SAP solutions.
