Analytics vendor Alterian has a new CEO; Siemens Business Services "Update's" its European CRM coverage; gets some security; Innovent swallows up; Adonix offers a new ERP release.

Alterian names new CEO

CRM analytics vendor Alterian Inc., Chicago, appointed Brett S. Kilpatrick as chief executive officer of North American operations. Kilpatrick served previously as vice president of worldwide field operations for telecommunications intelligence applications company Narus Software, Palo Alto, Calif. Kilpatrick will lead the executive management team of Alterian Inc., the subsidiary of Alterian plc, based in the United Kingdom.


Update and Siemens Business Services extend European partnership

European CRM vendor Update Software and consultant Siemens Business Services (SBS), both of Vienna, Austria, signed an agreement under which SBS will offer Update's marketing manager CRM suite throughout the country and other areas of south-eastern Europe. The Siemens subsidiary will aim to sell the software to small and medium-sized businesses. In addition to Austria, SBS will market Update applications in Romania, Slovakia, Croatia, Bosnia, Herzegovina, Serbia, Slovenia and Bulgaria.


Siemens Business Services wins Daiwa Securities as a customer

San Francisco-based eCRM vendor reported that financial services company Daiwa Securities SMBC Europe Ltd, London, standardized its Fixed Income Division on the firm's online CRM applications. Daiwa said it hopes to become more efficient in matching buyers and sellers and identifying emerging business opportunities. The investment company said that since implementing it has tracked an increase in customer satisfaction levels based on access to rapid data-upon-request capabilities.

Innovent Solutions finalizes buyout of

Los Angeles-based CRM and business intelligence provider Innovent Solutions acquired Boston-based, a company known for implementing enterprise reporting and analysis applications. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Innovent officials said the acquisition of would better position the firm to reach financial services and insurance companies in the Northeast United States. All key staff from will join the organization, effective immediately, Innovent reported.


Adonix releases Web-based ERP for the mid-market

Pittsburgh, Pa.-based enterprise applications vendor Adonix announced availability of its Adonix X3 Version 1.34, an Internet-based ERP package developed specifically for the mid-market. Adonix also announced that Texas Feathers, a manufacturer of ostrich feather cleaning products, recently became the firm's 500th Adonix X3 platform customer. The offering reportedly includes functionality for managing CRM, finance, manufacturing and distribution operations.
