Point Info Systems rolls out new CRM package

Dublin, Ireland-based CRM applications vendor Point Information Systems released its latest offering to the market, e-point 6. The launch follows the recent acquisition of Point by enterprise software maker S1 Corp. The company reported that the new package streamlines processes in sales, marketing and service areas and offers a single view of customer behavior. < p>

Syntellect reports disappointing Q1 results

Speech-enabled software specialists Syntellect Inc., Phoenix, reported a net loss of $1.0 million, or 9 cents per share, for Q1 2002 on net revenues of $9.1 million, compared to a net loss of $2.2 million, or 20 cents per share, on net revenues of $10.3 million in Q1 2001. The company said services and hosted services revenues accounted for $5.5 million, compared to $6.7 million in Q1 2001, a decrease of approximately 19%. A shift in revenue mix toward higher-margin software licenses was primarily responsible for an improvement in first-quarter gross margins to 51.8% from 49.5%, the firm reported.

Chordiant earnings swing upward

Cupertino, Calif.-based CRM vendor Chordiant Software Inc. announced promising revenues of $22.8 million for Q1 2002, an increase of 70% over Q1 2001. The results landed near the top end of the company?s previously issued guidance of $22 to $23 million for the quarter. First-quarter license revenues were $11.1 million, up from $6.8 million year over year, service revenues were $11.7 million, up from $6.6 million a year earlier, and Q1 profit margin was 56%.

Apropos delivers new architecture

Interaction management software maker Apropos Technology Inc., Oakbrook Terrace, Ill., previewed its next generation product architecture. The new platform is reportedly a J2EE-based interaction management architecture designed to enable companies to develop and deploy interaction management capabilities throughout an enterprise. The firm said the latest iteration of its technology extends real-time management and reporting to broader enterprise communications.

Britannia and Fineos project wins CRM award

London-based Fineos Corp. is winning praise for an ongoing CRM implementation at U.K.-based contractors Britannia Building Society. The effort was awarded "CRM Project of the Year -Large Organization" at the British CRM Industry Awards 2002. In selecting Britannia, the judging panel said it was impressed by the overall scope and vision of the society's project and in particular by an ability to engage its staff, to understand where the benefits had been gained and by its on-going commitment to customer satisfaction.
