Onyx grabs another powerful CRM client, Data Junction and ValiCert get vertical, a new Concerto is born. These are among the CRM-related announcements of the week.

Onyx powering Westcoast Energy

Bellevue, Wash.-based CRM specialist Onyx Software Corp. now counts power company Westcoast Energy Inc., Vancouver, British Columbia, among its customers. Westcoast said its Pipeline and Field Services Divisions implemented the Onyx Employee Portal (OEP), including CRM analytics and data cleansing functionality. Customer service and gas scheduling employees are using OEP to capture and track customer issues, as well as measure customer satisfaction, the company reported.


Data Junction and ValiCert team up for vertical effort

Data integration software maker Data Junction Corp., Austin, Texas, and e-business software vendor ValiCert Inc., Mountain View, Calif., unveiled a new partnership under which the two companies will provide applications integration for customers in the financial services and healthcare industries. The partnership will offer increased security for Data Junction transactions and enhance ValiCert's position in the data transformation market. The companies reported that they have several joint customers onboard already.

Davox and CellIT merge to form Concerto

Customer interaction management (CIM) software maker Davox Corp., Westford, Mass., announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Miami-based CellIT Inc., a privately held provider of CIM solutions for contact centers, for $10.2 million in cash and 544,217 shares of its common stock. Effective immediately, Davox will begin doing business as Concerto Software Inc., company officials said. Under the terms of the agreement, Davox will acquire all of the outstanding common and preferred shares of CellIT in exchange for $10.15 million in cash and 544,217 shares of its common stock, which will be released to CellIT's preferred shareholders over a two year period.< p>



Help Desk Institute forms strategic advisory board

Help Desk Institute (HDI), the Colorado springs, Colo.-based membership association for service and support professionals, announced the formation of the new HDI Strategic Advisory Board. The strategic advisory board will consist of 17 industry analysts, industry luminaries, Fortune 100 companies, industry press, vendor CEOs, and international representatives, the group said. Ed Hawthorne, senior vice president, Bank of America, will chair the newly formed HDI Strategic Advisory Board.

Stockgroup and form pact

San Francisco-based financial software company Stockgroup Information Systems Inc. formed a strategic partnership with online financial content provider, Huntingdon Valley, Penn. As a result of the partnership, both companies will offer private label financial content to corporate customers.< p>
