The Salesforce IdeaExchange is an online community that allows customers to interact with one another, engage with the company to suggest and vote on new features, and gain insights into upcoming releases.

The IdeaExchange encourages users to garner support for their ideas through the Salesforce Success Community, Chatter (the community communication tool), Twitter and other social forums. Part of the process by which ideas rise to the level of consideration is through points received by peers and others. An idea ready for consideration by the product team has received 2,500 points.

This system for prioritizing ideas has come under scrutiny, however, with some users expressing concern that valid ideas don't garner enough points can languish.
